Connections

This painting is about two ferns growing toward each other, slowly, gently—like two people meeting for the first time and realizing they speak the same strange language. I’ve been thinking a lot about connection lately, especially in the art world. How good it feels to meet someone who just gets what you’re trying to make. This piece is my quiet celebration of those moments—when something or someone reaches back. I’ve been lucky lately to find myself surrounded by creative, kind souls who are all trying to build something honest and beautiful. This one’s for them. For the artists, the late-night studio texts, the shared supplies, the surprise visits to each other’s shows. This is for the ones that remind me I’m not doing this alone. Connections grow in unexpected ways—and when they do, it’s magic.
