Drug Monkey

Drug Monkey is a tongue-in-cheek nod to how some of us got through the chaos of COVID—with a little help from our not-so-natural friends. A monkey hand pours out Xanax like candy, equal parts absurd and uncomfortably relatable. It’s a dark little joke about anxiety, survival, and the strange ways we coped when the world turned upside down. This painting doesn’t judge—it just tells it like it was. A little humor, a little truth, and a whole lot of weird.
