Yandita - PRINTS

I always wait for a certain spark when I look at a painting—sometimes I have to revisit it again and again before I know it’s truly done. I’m reminded of my daughter as a little girl, sitting on the floor with her sticker books, legs paddling with joy, arms fluttering. I thought she was just proud of her arrangement—but recently, she told me she was imagining herself inside the scene. That’s exactly what I want: to feel like I’m living inside the world I’ve created. With this painting, I finally felt that. I imagine myself drifting through the soft light, floating with the little blue flowers. When I feel that, I know it’s truly finished. And it fills me with joy.
