Commissions
A commissioned painting is a chance to create an original acrylic artwork that feels personal to your space and to you. Bianca Youngers creates intuitive, expressive paintings shaped by color, movement, connection, and a little bit of magic.
We’ll begin with a conversation about what you’re drawn to, from scale and color to the feeling you want the work to hold. Each piece unfolds organically in the studio, so it will never be an exact recreation of an existing work. Instead, it will be a one-of-a-kind painting made in Bianca’s distinctive visual language.
The Commission Process
1. Begin with a Conversation
Every commission begins with a conversation.
Bianca wants to hear about the space, the way you want it to feel, and what has drawn you to her work. You might begin with a favorite painting, a color you keep returning to, a room you are building around, or simply a feeling you want to live with.
For interior designers, art consultants, and project teams, this conversation can include wall dimensions, design plans, finish palettes, timelines, and installation needs.
2. Find the Right Direction
From there, Bianca will help shape a direction for the painting. Together, you will talk through scale, orientation, color, movement, and the atmosphere of the space.
A commission may grow from the underwater quiet of Sounds Underwater, the lush resilience of Flourish, the wildness of Nature’s Grace, the strange stillness of Grounded Earth, or the warmth and hidden abundance of Desert Bloom. The finished work will be its own original painting, made especially for your space.
3. Create a Proposal
Once the direction feels clear, Bianca will put together a custom proposal with recommended dimensions, investment, projected timing, and delivery details. Large-scale works, diptychs, triptychs, and multi-work projects are quoted individually.
4. The Work Takes Shape
Bianca creates each painting in her Portland studio through layers of acrylic, intuitive mark-making, rich color, and organic forms. The conversation remains at the center of the work: the character of your space, the palette, the scale, and the feeling you hope the painting will carry.
5. Bring It Home
When the painting is complete, Bianca coordinates local delivery or shipping. Designers, art consultants, hospitality teams, and commercial clients can request final dimensions, high-resolution imagery, and project documentation.
