Desert Bloom

Desert Bloom is a 2025 series of original acrylic paintings by Bianca Youngers. Rooted in memories of the high desert and time spent in Borrego, the paintings begin with the charged moment after rain, when scent rises from the earth and unexpected life appears across the landscape.

Youngers finds magic in the desert’s hidden abundance. Saturated color, layered acrylic, and intuitive forms create paintings that hold heat, growth, friendship, and the quiet presence of the natural world. The work draws a connection between the desert and the people who have shaped her life, honoring the strength, mystery, and generosity she recognizes in both.
